The feathers come from South Africa, and the duster is hand assembled in Belgium by a comany we have worked with for over 20 years.
The feathers are responsibly sourced from a farming consortium who also work with some major retail brands like Chanel.
The Ostrich's are not farmed for their feathers, the feathers are a by product, similar to duck and down used in quilts and pillows.
Yes they can be hand washed with lukewarm water and a light soap or detergent, allow to air dry when finished
The feathers will of course wear out over time and so you can buy replacement heads, just go to the replacment heads category, you can buy the same size or even upgrade to the Super sized they all fit the same handle
